When my husband and moved from the Seattle area to southern Arizona, I left all our cleaning supplies behind. There wasn’t room in the car and the moving company does not permit combustible or corrosive materials in the van (furniture and cleaning products don’t mix well). I’ve been slowly but surely purchasing non-toxic cleaning supplies:
- Bon Ami Polishing Cleanser
- Holy Cow Glass Cleaner, Concentrated Cleaner and All Purpose Cleaner
- Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap
- Biokleen Lemon Thyme Dishwash Liquid
- Biokleen Chlorine Free Oxygen Bleach Plus
- Purex Natural Elements in Linens & Lillies - recognized product in the Environmental Protection Agency’s ”Design for the Environment” program
- White vinegar and lemon juice to mix up my own spray solution

Welcome to Verda Vivo. My name is Daryl Warner Laux.

Daryl:
I was so glad to see that you are featuring Debra Lynn Dadd’s wonderful website as your “website of the day.” I agree with you that Debra is/provides a wealth of information!
I hope you will want to listen to an audio interview I recently did with Debra for Keeper.com at http://www.keeper.com/dadd.html. As you might expect, her interview provides our site visitors with a great deal of very valuable information. In it, Debra, of course, talked about how to choose non-toxic cleaning products.
In this interview, she also introduced her new book, “Really Green,” which describes a whole new way of looking at “greenness” – and specifically, degrees of greenness. I’d go so far as to call the concepts Debra writes about in this book a “paradigm shift.”
I hope your site visitors will enjoy listening to Debra’s interview!
(By the way, The Keeper, Inc. is the manufacturer of the environment-friendly Keeper and Moon Cup reusable menstrual cups, which provide another way women can show their respect for the environment.)

Julia, Thanks for providing the link to Debra’s interview. I’ve never used a menstrual cup and now don’t have the need to but it seems like an economical and eco-friendly alternative to multiple monthly tampons and pads.
