You won’t find them at the do-it-yourself homeowners convention but they’re out there, experimenting with alternative forms of energy. The producers at Quest found folks experimenting with solarthermal, wind turbines, geothermal, green roofs and any combination thereof. These are the folks who spend more money than they would if they went with conventional technologies. There are successes and failures and learnings along the way. But if the end result is a monthly energy bill of $8.00, my sister has the right idea of installing a wind turbine on her farm in Oregon.

    I love the idea very much, but as said in this blog it’s rather impossible to install a private wind mill as a private person.
