I’ve been frustrated this week by problems with Internet Explorer so needed a bit of a diversion. I just got tagged by Ashley Sue of Green Grounded just in time to lighten my mood. Thanks for sharing!
Here are the rules for ’social-networking’ tag:
- Link to the person who tagged you.
- Post the rules on your blog.
- Share seven things about yourself – some random, some weird.
- Tag seven people at the end of your post and link to them.
- Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog and/or Twitter.
- Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.
So…seven things about me:
- I’ve climbed Mount Athabasca located in the Columbia Icefield of Jasper National Park in Canada. I gave up rock and ice climbing when a boulder came within inches of hitting my head when the fellow I was belaying from below lost his footing.
- Halloween is the one holiday I don’t like – mostly because I hate figuring out and wearing costumes as an adult.
- The only TV show I watch is Project Runway, even the re-runs. Otherwise I watch movies, my favorite genre being thriller/mystery/horror movies.
- I am afraid of getting shots. My hands get sweaty, my heart starts thumping, I have to sit down or I get dizzy.
- My favorite sport to watch is minor league hockey; the kind where there’s a fight and a hockey game breaks out. I don’t want to contemplate what that says about me psychologically speaking.
- I play tennis six days a week. I just learned this summer and love the sport although I’m not very good at it yet.
- I still miss having a horse. I grew up on a farm with horses. My mom taught me how to ride and entered me in my first horse-show at age 8. When I won first place, I was hooked. My parents bought me a registered quarter horse that I had until college.
Who I’m tagging:
Ok here you go, 7 blogs and people you may or may not know, but I hope you’ll check them out. If I tagged you, I hope that you have a moment to share. If not, know that you’re blog is one I read regularly so I know you’re all busy people!

I love it! I am not afraid of shots … I just tend to faint.
I can’t even look at someone else getting a shot. ~ Daryl
My heart jumped just reading your number one! Wow.
How does tennis do on your shoulders? I have racquets and want to take it up, but have shoulder issues to consider. Any thoughts!?
Ashley Sue, Trust me, after the boulder landed below me, searing the climbing rope in two, I shook like a leaf for quite some time.
I have no problem with either shoulder but do have a bit of tennis elbow in my right arm. I wear a brace whenever I play. Depending upon the age of your rackets you might want to consider a new one. They are considerably lighter and easier to swing. I got mine at Big 5 on sale. My tennis coach also advised me to get tennis shoes rather than using my running shoes. They’re flatter so more stable on the court.
I took lessons throughout the summer and then started practicing with a bunch of fellow newbies. We joined the league so we can play with different players. It’s great exercise although I still miss shots that I think I should get. ~ Daryl
